Nest on Tree
One day, Ana noticed something special high up in its branches—a nest. Inside, a pair of small, colourful birds were fluttering their wings, moving gently as if guarding something precious. Curious, she pointed it out to Rohan, and both stopped to watch.
The next morning, they saw tiny beaks poking out from the nest. Baby birds had been born! Their chirps were soft yet full of life, and the parent birds flew in and out, bringing food. Ana and Rohan felt happy, as if the birds were part of their journey to school.
Day after day, they stopped by the tree. The baby birds grew stronger, their feathers brighter. Sometimes, the wind swayed the nest, but the little ones stayed safe under the watchful eyes of their parents. The scene made the children’s walk to school feel magical.
One morning, they saw the young birds stretching their wings for the first time. The parents encouraged them with gentle calls. Ana and Rohan watched in awe as one of the babies took its first tiny flight, landing clumsily on a lower branch.
Finally, the day came when the nest was empty. The birds had flown away to live their own lives. Ana and Rohan felt a small sadness, but also joy, knowing they had witnessed the start of something beautiful. Every time they passed that tree, they remembered the little family that had once lived there.
